How to get 2 seconds of airtime in a vehicle is the topic of this walkthrough.
This is an epic weekly quest that has now appeared in Fortnite and as the quest says, you have to get 2 seconds of airtime with a vehicle twice. It’s not particularly hard to do, and the easiest possible way to do it would be presented below.
First, let’s talk about the quest itself. Since it is an epic quest (purple), the reward is 24.000 XP points towards your Battle Pass Level. It’s quite worth doing the quest for some easy XP to level up.
Where can I find a vehicle to complete this quest?
Vehicles are scattered all across the Fortnite map and it’s impossible to miss them. Most major cities include a few cars on their streets, and you can even find them on the roads outside cities. The biggest number of driveable cars can be found in Pleasant Park, Sweaty Sands, and Lazy Lake. As a matter of fact, Lazy Lake even has a car dealership building. Retail Row also has a good number of cars.
Some of the cars are not driveable. You can recognize those cars because they have a yellow boot on one of the wheels and you cannot interact with them. Usually, most cars can be driven.
Starting in Season 4 Chapter 2, Epic Games have changed cars in Fortnite to require fuel to work. When they spawn they have variable amounts of fuel onboard so if you find one with very little fuel, you may wanna look for a gas can (it’s a small red gas can and spawns everywhere, mostly outside buildings or in garages). Or you can visit a gas station. Most major cities have gas stations.
How to get 2 seconds of airtime in a vehicle in Fortnite Season 6 Chapter 2?
The idea is to make the car stay in the air for at least 2 seconds and you have to do this twice for the quest to complete. Airplanes and Choppers have been vaulted from the game so your only option is to make a car fly.
To do this, my strategy was to make a very big ramp out of building materials (stairs), and then get in the car, go to the top of the ramp and jump with the car. This does have the potential to kill you because the car deals damage now when it jumps from a high place (they really didn’t want us to have any fun, did they?). But you can always do it again in a different match to complete the challenge.
If your ramp is big enough (about 10 ramps in a row should do) your car will take a few seconds to fall down from the top so that’s good. Make sure you’re inside the car when it falls, otherwise it won’t count towards your quest.
There are other Fortnite epic quests to complete that will also get you a ton of XP towards your Battle Pass Level. Check some of the guides we’ve made for other epic Fortnite quests below:
