Tilted Towers has long been a favorite landing spot for many people who have played Fortnite back in Chapter 1. It was destroyed, rebuilt, and even made ultra-modern when it became Neo Tilted in Chapter 1 Season 9, but people always loved this spot. When Chapter 2 hit, Tilted Towers was no more, and ever since Chapter 2 Season 1 people have mourned its absence.
After a long absence, Tilted Towers POI is now back in Fortnite. This POI has been on the wishlist of many Fortnite players for many years now after it was last seen in 2019 back in Chapter 1. Chapter 2 completely skipped adding this POI back in any way, shape, or form, but with the release of Chapter 3 Epic Games has finally heard your prayers.
At the beginning of Chapter 3 Season 1, Tilted Towers was already on the map (technically), but it was snowed in completely. Now the snow has begun to thaw leaving only a small portion around Logjam Lumberyard and a bit of Shifty Shafts which is expected to fully thaw in the upcoming weeks.
Tilted Towers is back on Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1
With the snow mostly thawed, Tilted Towers is now fully available and it looks as good as the day we lost it. What’s even better is that Tilted Towers now opens directly to Loot Lake (and yes, they call it Loot Lake in Chapter 3 quests once again).
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can land a Tilted Towers next time. You can’t miss it because of its very specific shape, but also because it will show grayed out on the map with a “???” icon in the center if you never visited it before since the reveal.
Speaking of the shape of Titled Towers, do you also think it somehow resembles the shape of Lazy Lake from Chapter 2? Tell us in the comments below.
You should keep in mind, however, that if you are planning to land a Tilted Towers it can go in two different ways for you:
- You will get a lot of easy kills.
- You will get killed before you even land.
The whole lobby lands there right now. It will probably get better in the upcoming weeks, but for now, people are dropping there a lot which makes it very hard to defend yourself.
Epic Games has pushed recently a hotfix for Fortnite which prevents the AI bots from landing there, most likely because between the bots and the legit players landing at Tilted Towers, there was a lot of strain put on the game and it caused frame drops.
The reason for this hotfix is most likely due to the amount of players and bots landing at Tilted Towers causing framerates to drop for some players, however this is just a guess and not a confirmation of the reason.

At the same time, if you play bot lobby Fortnite, and you land at Tilted Towers, you should basically be completely alone at the beginning of the game, which will give you a lot of time to gain weapons, mats, ammo, and so on. If you’re not very good at the game and you wanna practice, this is a great method, but only if you play bot lobbies.
