HoYoVerse revealed further information regarding the next notable release to Genshin Impact, version 3.8. The update, officially dubbed “Secret Summer Paradise,” corresponds with the opening of Genshin Impact’s seasonal summer event. The event will take place on July 5, 2023, and will star the characters Klee, Kaeya, Eula, and Collei. The special preview presentation also gave off glimpses of the game’s next playable zone, Fontaine.

The teaser depicts the group running into yet another fantastical diversion created by Alice, Klee’s mother. The new area, dubbed the Veluriyam Mirage, has two open-world game modes created to entertain Alice’s innocent daughter. The Choo-Choo Cart, which resembles a roller coaster, allows players to move about the area. Additionally, they will be able to collect currencies in Preprint mode, a two-dimensional environment.
Four summertime special activities, including a minigame resembling shuffleboard, combat challenges, an airborne race, and a water cannon shooting game, will be held at the Veluriyam Mirage during the period.
HoYoVerse will also include two additional outfits for Klee and Kaeya as additional material for character customization. The event unlocks Kaeya’s outfit, which has a nautical motif. The Pyro princess is displayed in Klee’s mage-like attire, which also features a floppy witch cap.

Genshin Impact’s gacha Wish banners will feature Klee and Eula in the first half of the duration. When the banners rotate in the second half, Kokomi and the Wanderer will appear.
Furthermore, the special preview program previewed the surroundings of Fontaine, Teyvat’s next playable zone. Players will visit the Hydro Archon’s realm, commonly known as the “Nation of Justice,” around 2023 (perhaps for the version 4.0 update). Melusine, a little hairy creature, is among the Fontaine dwellers. One of these Melusines looks to be a police officer of some type.
In the Teyvat universe, Fontaine’s engineering and technology are well-known, and throughout the main narrative, Fontaine’s machines were involved in supporting storylines. As seen by hints of swimming and diving activity in the video, Fontaine’s launch will also include underwater exploration activities.
The platforms for Genshin Impact include the PC, PS4, PS5, iOS, and Android. The launch day for Update 3.8 is July 5, 2023.
