Resident Evil 4 Remake

Capcom’s hit Resident Evil 4, originally launched in 2005 is getting a remake. A recent preview of the game showed us very promising images that made the fans even more excited for the official release.
The game takes us six years after the events of Resident Evil 2, with the survivor Leon S. Kennedy as the protagonist of our game. His task is to rescue the daughter of the US president, Ashley, who is being kept in a European village. He discovers there are things he hasn’t seen before.
Every nostalgic aspect of the original game has been modernized and improved making Resident Evil 4 Remake a game that you shouldn’t miss.
Dead Island 2
Release date: 21 April 2023

Dead Island 2 may be the new definition of gore. The game is introducing new weapons and upgrades to slash zombies in style. It took almost a decade for it to be built but it’s finally here.
Dead Island 2 takes place in California which is put in quarantine after an even stronger outbreak than the previous one.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Release date: 28 April 2023

The story takes us on Cal’s journey on preventing eternal doom for the galaxy and his loved ones.
An early trailer showed us new and intriguing characters which are unknown for now. EA previously hit the charts with the single-player game Star Wars: Fallen Order. I guess it remains to be seen how this game will play out.
Redfall
Release date: 2 May 2023

Studio Arkane, the company that produces Redfall is pretty confident about the future release. They took their time making the game since it was originally set to launch in 2022 and later pushed to 2023, but the trailer didn’t disappoint us.
The story takes us to an apocalyptic scenario where Redfall, the island town of Massachusetts, is conquered by lab-created vampires. In our journey, our chosen hero allies with other 3 heroes which help in restoring Redfall.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kindom
Release date: 12 May 2023

Legend of Zelda is a hit for Nintendo, there’s no doubt it is so hyped by the fans. The prequel, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was a big success for the company and fans expect a lot from Nintendo with this one.
Link, our beloved hero, takes on an adventure across the land of Hyrule with new and exciting abilities for fighting those who threaten the Kingdom.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Release date: 26 May 2023

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was originally set to be released in 2022 then all the news went quiet— but it’s official. Now, 2023 is a big year for gaming.
Suicide Squad will be fighting an alien invasion set by Braniac which took control of the Justice League. Our heroes, Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang will haunt each one of the Justice League members.
The game will have a co-op mode but you will also be able to play solo and switch characters at will.
Street Fighter 6
Release date: 2 June 2023

With new and refreshing graphics, Street Fighter 6 looks to be evolving with different flashy moves but also, beginner mode which helps new players have fun while still doing the flashy moves.
Capcom seems to have added new modes including World Tour, which will be featuring your very own story that you can shape however you like, and Battle Hub, where you can meet new players and fight them, of course.
Diablo 4
Release date: 6 June 2023

Blizzard finally announced the release of the long waited Diablo 4. The peeks that they gave us prove that it was worth the wait. New villains, new weapons, and also, the iconic skeleton army.
The story takes place several decades after the events of Diablo 3 — countless lives have been taken by the decisions of the High Havens which led to the awakening of Lilith, daughter of Mephisto.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Release date: Winter of 2023
Platform(s): PlayStation 5
Final Fantasy 7 remake was a masterpiece and ever since the sequel was announced the fans were thrilled about it. The fine graphics and mechanics were kept but with a new and intriguing story adaptation from the original hit.
The story will include the adventures of Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, and even Zach.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Release date: April 2023 to March 2024
Platform(s): PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Windows PC
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an open-world adaptation of the admired Avatar universe by James Cameron. The player can create a unique Na’vi warrior which will inhabit the fantasy of the Avatar realm.
Final Thoughts
As you can all see, this will be a pretty big year for gaming. I hope you are as excited as we are to see these games evolve and grow.
With that being said, the wait will likely be worth it, as there are many big titles in the works and we’re so excited to see what’s next!

God I can’t wait for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kindom. Thx so much for including it in the list it’s one of my most anticipated games this year. Having played zelda on Nintendo switch when it came out I loved the darn thing.
