Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition
With the release of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Vice City – The Definitive Edition, we’ve also got trophies on PlayStation 4 and Xbox for this classic GTA game. I think I speak for many when I say this game has been a significant part of many people’s childhood.
With that in mind, wanting to attain 100% completion in this game is pretty understandable. I remember being a teenager back in the 2000s and playing GTA – Vice City all day long during the summer breaks, it still holds a place in my heart and I am so glad we can finally play this masterpiece once more on newer consoles.
The “City Sleuth” trophy is a gold ultra rare achievement you can obtain in the game by finding all 100 hidden packages. You probably already have some of these already collected by randomly stumbling into them.
Each package rewards you with $100 when you find it. They look like a green Māori Tiki statue and you can walk into it to pick them up.
All Rewards for obtaining the hidden packages in GTA Vice City
- Obtaining 10 hidden packages grants you Body Armor.
- Obtaining 20 hidden packages grants you Chainsaw.
- Obtaining 30 hidden packages grants you Colt Python.
- Obtaining 40 hidden packages grants you Flamethrower.
- Obtaining 50 hidden packages grants you Combat Sniper.
- Obtaining 60 hidden packages grants you Minigun.
- Obtaining 70 hidden packages grants you Rocket Launcher.
- Obtaining 80 hidden packages causes the Sea Sparrow to spawn on the rear side of Vercetti Estate on Starfish Island.
- Obtaining 90 hidden packages grants you Rhino which spawns on Fort Baxter Airspace.
- Obtaining 100 hidden packages grants you Hunter which spawns on Fort Baxter Airspace, on the Helipad in Ocean View, grants you $100.000 and unlocks you the City Sleuth trophy.

Vice City Mainland
- There are 9 packages in Viceport.
- 14 hidden packages in Escobar International Airport.
- There are 8 packages in Little Havana.
- There are 5 packages on Starfish Island.
- 7 packages in Little Haiti.
- There are 7 packages in Downtown.
Vice City Beach
- There are 5 packages on Prawn Island.
- A total of 20 packages in Vice Point.
- 9 packages in Ocean Beach.
- There are 5 packages on Leaf Links.
- A total of 11 packages in Washington Beach.
Please consult the map below for the exact location of the packages.
Once you obtain all 100 packages you will immediately get the gold City Sleuth trophy which is necessary for 100% completion of the game and for obtaining the Platinum Kingpin trophy.
GTA Vice City Pro Tip
We recommend you start finding these packages as soon as you are able to unlock Starfish Island and the Little Havana / Little Haiti / Downtown parts of the map by completing some of the early story missions because the weapons and choppers you unlock can prove very beneficial during the harder missions later on.
Aside from this, we also recommend completing the Rampage missions as early on as you can for the same reason.
Remember that unlike modern games on PlayStation and Xbox, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition requires a lot of manual saving to avoid losing your data, so be sure to visit your safe houses often.
