What is Counter-Strike 2?
Counter-Strike 2 represents the biggest technological advance in the series’ history, new features and upgrades will be available for years to come.
The CS: GO update will be free. As of today, select CS: GO players can participate in restricted testing of it, and Valve has provided further information on how to do so.
The company has offered a deeper look at what Counter-Strike gamers might anticipate in a number of videos.
Counter-Strike 2 Release Date
A confined test version of Counter-Strike 2 will be launched on March 22; however, only a small number of players chosen by Valve will be able to access it.
In the summer of 2023, all players will get access to the game’s complete version without charge.
Counter-Strike 2 Leaks
According to a recent leak, the Source 2 patch will add two new knives to Counter-Strike 2.

A Twitter user who goes by ALE (@_ale_cs) shared two fresh photos that are probably the latest versions of a Kukri and Twinblade knife.
While no official confirmation of the knives has been provided, the level of complexity in these produced models implies that they were built using the Source 2 Engine.
All smoke grenade changes in Counter-Strike 2
While it may not appear to be the most thrilling thing for players, the new Counter-Strike 2 smoke grenade tweaks are quite intriguing.
Counter-Strike 2’s new smoke grenade technology, dubbed responsive smokes,’ is an incredible game changer. Smoke grenades now generate ‘volumetric 3D objects,’ which interact and alter in the game world.
As a consequence, smokes organically fills gaps, flows around various objects on the map, and does not extend past any boundaries that would otherwise limit their mobility.
Shooting through smoke now creates a hole that allows you to see through to the other side, while grenade explosions fully demolish a part of the cloud cover.

Valve has yet to reveal an entire list of maps that will be in Counter-Strike 2, but some have already been discovered in promotional material. Here are all of the maps found in Counter-Strike 2 so far:

- Inferno
- Lake
- Mirage
- Ancient
- Italy
- Nuke
- Shoots
- Canals
- Train
- Shortdust
These are the main maps we could identify from the early preview.
A handful has also been extracted from loading screen photographs obtained in the game files, although the entire Counter-Strike 2 map list is most likely still in the works.
